Looking for techie interpretation of this mod located on this german mod site:
http://www.universalhost.de/html_bit/antiboost.htm
It looks like the DIY answer to finally controlling a dual cell racer, for those of us without the OEM booster machine controllers. They do have some instruction written in english but I just don't quite understand. Where is the 'boost' switch and can someone knowlegeable explain how this mod works, it looks like they are short circuiting the power to and from the batteries resulting in a melt down eh?
Compounding my problem is the fact that my controller looks nothing like the two they modded on the site but the principle would still be the same, I just dont know how they are doing this, they completely sever the strip going to GND then connect that to V+? and have a 10K resistor going from V+ to the severed strip portion? And where the hell is their switch that would bypass the 'pulldown' resistor and give you the turbo? What the?
Anyway, I am the truest definition of 'layperson', but if all the techies could come together and figure this out in plain english, we could make our own booster machines! Cheaply! Important for dual celled racers.
