and oh yeah...once radio shack makes a commercial for this...its gonna be all over for TOMY enthusiasts.....

This is why Tomy in the next few months will releasing the next generation stuff. Like the four different buses, monster truck, subs, construction equ, new bodies etc. RS is just starting first generation while Tomy is at 2 and almost third. Tomy is not just fighting them but the oem and clones.
Yes the PTcruiser looks like a turtle. A squashed turtle. Or like a 1920 hood's car!
I know how much fun the Canadian inspectors can be. Had to order some power transistors a few years back. Had more fun just getting them shipped from there to the U.S. than an order from Japan!

I really don't think the American market is Tomy's biggest concern...if it was the manuals would be in english.
Radio Shack is only a threat to American sales.

hm...i went to 2 RS today..one of them had tthe starter kits and the parts, but they only had the PT ....ewww.....
the other says they cant sell anymore cuz they are waiting for the commercial to be released!!..good news or bad news...

The fun queston is when and how will they show the ads? What age group etc.
For Tomy, the U.S. market is not a major item but to Microsizers it is. They cant push them as the smallest since DigiQ and iRacers have that and so far only selling to hobby & small toy stores. If they went to Toys R Us then may have a chance.
Intersting from searching, RS got their FCC Part 15 around July this year and basic design was early this year.

Just went out to the Microsizer site and notice that the drugstore chain of SaveOn and Longs { actualy the same chain } is now carring Microsizers.
This WILL be a fun xmas!
