Hold on a sec, I put the turbo motor in my 2 cell clone and it fit just fine, I have not tried to put one in my bit yet.

I can't honestly tell you.
I still haven't seen a definative speed measuring technique.
What is the standardized, universally approved method of speed measurement?

My shen, and Cyclona both handle the motors and rears.
The only clone that's burned me so far is Bensu Micromites, although it was good for parts, heheh

If you dont have a treadmill try this, its not as accurate but for our purposes it will work.
First get a buddy to help you, then measure out a 5 ft span.
Get your bit up to top speed before you cross the first line, as soon as you cross the first line have your helper start a timer, When you cross the other line have him stop it. Do as many runs as you can and average the times, this should improve the accuracy of the times.
Once you have the times averaged lets call that 2 seconds I will post the math so all you have to do is plug yoour times into the calculator using the following equations
devide 5 by your time, this will give you your feet per second
next take that answer and multiply it by 3600
then devide it by 5280 for your mph
Finally multiply that by 70 for your scale mph
5/2=2.5 feet per second
2.5*3600=9000 feet per hour
9000/5280=1.7 mph
1.7*70=119 scale mph
Hope that helps!

hehe, sometimes it's hard to keep my bit going in a straight line. it'll take a few runs to get it to get to the line. hehehe.

Using the time/distance method, I measured my 2 cell Zip Zap (see Black Honda in signature) at 4.5 mph.

batesjm
thanks for posting the math
i knew it was something like that
if you guys time it over for example 10 feet, you would divide by 10 in the beginning and the rest would be the same.
