Spanky, it's inkjet decal paper. Sheep, for the zip zaps wheel mod, just get zip zaps axels- they snap right on. Also, what do you need to know about putty? ( I need something a little more specific to help you with).

ok, heres another thing that i wanted to do to my car. the light pod. I think it would be cool to have a working light pod on my WRX. the pic i posted is of a lancer, but still the same idea. ive grown up on the rally scene, and love the looks of the cars at nights. anyway. does anyone have any ideas on the lights for this? im not to good with the electronics so any help would be great. thanks.

Nice idea Spanky,
I don't know the electronics, but I do have an idea for the actual pods. It calls for a pen (yet another use for the infamous pen). Take the tip of a click pen, then cut it with a dremel (look at the picture). Slip a led through the small side, make about 3 or 4 of these, then slap the whole thing into some putty and bam...
This might be too tediuos, but it came from the top of my head in like 2 seconds while looking at a pen doing some homework.

it looks poor because its a pod bought off the shelf. if youve ever been to a rally you will see many different variations on this. i think my favorite was on a Eagle Talon (about 5 years ago) it had one huge lamp mounted on the top of the car, along with two more mounted on the bumper. it probably added a foot to the top of the car, but it was cool. most pro rally cars have custom made light pods. you can pick up a pod like this for like 500-1000 bucks. but it aint carbon fiber. anyway im going searching for l.e.d.'s tomorow for this thing. hopefully radioshack will have the answer.
