It's called supply and demand. If none of the Shaks around your home have what you need, you may be willing to pay a little/lot more for something. If E-Bay is the only refuge, well then you have to pay the price. You could also look at it from the sellers standpoint....He's giving someone an opportunity to get something they could otherwise not obtain, regardless of price.

You are the one who made this thread and asked our opinions. I dont think anyone is sticking up for this clown. We are sticing up for what we beleive. We beleive in fair trade, supply and demand, and free commerce. Instead of picking on this guy, you should divert your energy into something usefull like geting car dealorships to sell their cars cheaper. Thay are using supply and demand. You cant tell me it costs $40,000 to build a surburban or 75,000 for a Porshe. No, but someone out there will pay it. just like those lights. I enjoy cars and hope others do as well. SO, according to you, its making it not enjoyable because I cant afford these? no. If you cant afford $16.00 plus shipping and handling, then go to your local RS and if they dont have them in stock, they will order them in and they will ship them to your house. You just pay S/H on them also. If you still cant afford that...then just wait till they do become avail. again at the RS and get them without the S/H charge.

Demand from car dealers

I think you may need to do your homework if you want to really want to find out the reasons cars are sold for so much. It is called the "Union" . If you want to know more I can explain it. But to give you a small taste there are problems at the assembly plants and these cost dollars to fix. Do you really believe we need to go to the dealership to have recalls fixed. They should be fixed at the factory. This is only a little part of the rising prices for cars. I am sorry but if you are going to compare it to something yyou will need to compare it to greed.

Im not talking about the factory. I said the dealorship. so there is no UNION. not around here anyways. and yes the factory should fix the recalls. Do you know if A dealership fixes a warranteed or recalled part on a vehicle, they charge the manufacturer the same as a regular customer? Oh yes. Dont even get me started on that. thias is not the place. And for you to say that its justifiable for them to charge what they do for a rig is proposterous. Look at this. When My wife and I went to the local Chevy truck/car dealership and purchased our brand new Chevy 1 ton 4x4 extended cab that they quoted $31,000 for the price. I haggled them down to $27,000. Then after them saying they couldnt go any lower, i said we would pay cash. WOW did that change things, (we had received a settlement) No financing? no trade in to jack the prices up? I said they needed to make it worth my while to drive a Chevy from them or I would get a Dodge from the dealer across the street, I drove home with my new truck for $24,000.
Now talk about greed, that was a $7,000 drop in price that they didnt loose money. Plus they get my $2,000 dollar rebate from chevy. What do you say now? Thats not greed? It damn sure isnt UNION workers in there.

This has gone on long enough and has gotten way off the topic of XMODS.
