whoa man.. ur like.. the bit King of calgary...! yeesh, i meet the nicest people on this board
the controller would simply be the mod on QFM right? bypassing the timer... or something liek that, just resoldering the wires elsewhere..?
i'll look for the right voltage ac/dc charger... but im not sure how the wires will go...
the celica body will be great!! thank you so much! Doesn’t matter which one… if you have the clear one spare, that’d be great… how much do you want for the whole setup?
Hmmm… is it safe to flip the PCB over? And if you don’t mind, could you do the internal dual cell? (if you cant get NiMH’s, then well it’s okay) heh, seeing the look on the other guy’s face when I got a battery sticking out the rear is still priceless ^_^
Oh yeah.. what are clear tires…?
Thx soo much again!!

the monstor truck should just fit on the stock charger. And ya the mod is basically attaching the charging wires right to the batter as stated on qfm. But the only way i can do an internal dual cell is if i get NiMH's becuase they are slightly shorter than NiCd's. Pie were you able to talk to your friend in vancouver about the batteries?
As for the wires from an ac adapter, you cut the end off and you ahve two wires, ones goes to one side of the charging station and the other goes to the other side (both are underneath the blue thing you can't see in the picture).

AAAAHHHH OMG it looks like i need to buy that kit racer quckly and do the dual cell cuz yesterday i put brand spankin new batterys in the controler and today when i charge the battery makes a weird poping crackling sound i know it is the bettery cuz I took it out and listened to it. It's still crackling as i type it doesn't feel warm or anything but i don't want to fry my car.

hmm... kk, i might do the controller mod as soon as i find a way to solder wires.. without a soldering iron
oh, an external dual cell is perfectly fine if you can spare a body... do you have any extra NiCd batteries kicking around? cuz if so, well then that's fine... if i can find the NiMHs b4 you get a chance to do the mod, then i guess NiMH time =) it wont be for a while tho... my friend has provincials... like, finals in BC... and i got midterms... which hurts quite a bit... so probably by wednesday i'll have an answer..
hmm sorry to repeat myself on a couple questions.. but how much would you want for the whole setup? im pretty low on cash rite now... heh, mebbe payment in batteries
and what are clear wheels? if they have enough traction for hardwood, i gotta get a set...!!
hmm pig, that's kinda scary... is it ur clone battery that's poppin or the controller batteries?

sorry, i meant clean wheels. It was a mistype. No these are real microziers chassis and the stock wheels are plenty sticky to pull wheelies
as for shipping and stuff i'll just email ya instead of cloggin up the board.

Hey everybody, i have a question. well my friend brought his bensu clone over and we noticed that the front tire plastic thing was missing and he couldnt steer one direction. is there anyway to fix it? cause he doesnt really want to get a real bit...too expensive.
swavey did u buy the auto modellista set yet?? cause i have a question about that.
well i went to commex hobbie yesterday and my friend bought the microsizer track. the one on tiny r/c. and it is VERY small! cost him $15.
my friend who bought the Project D set if you remember....he asked the guy at commex hobby "why his chassis was so slow" and the guy responded in " its because the gear connecting the motor was loose. as if you can spin the gear with your finger" and thats considered loose....and he told my friend to put a tad of superglue so it will fit tighter.....if u guys know what i mean.
i bought the castrol supra and its pretty confusing....there is some plastic parts and stuff and the instructions are in japanese.
sorry for being so confusing...haha.

hmmm i think ur friend's steering column thingy is broken off... when that happens, one of the wheels isnt going to turn... ask the people if you can get it exchanged it something...
what is the q about the AM set?
hmmm... that gearing thing... it's the black pinion gear he's super glueing right? if not, well then that's just plain a bad idea to be glueing gears... i suggest simply to get a faster motor... it's not too much for a 2.2 or a 2.6
**gasp** mmmm... supra..... **gurgle**
i have noo idea what those thingies are for... but i recognize one of the parts, it being used as a wheelie bar, and a holder for the second cell in the QFM dual cell mod...
Update on the magnets: i need to be beaten with an inteligence stick... i opened up my steering last night to compare the magnet strength, and i found i had seriously misjudged the size of the magents... the ones i have are one Hell of a lot stronger, like 3-4x, but they're about twice the size... =(

ok that will help a lot pig.
and yes, the pinion gear is the thing hes suppose to super glue, but at commex hobbie they were sold out of motors...but i;ll see if zellers has any kit racers.
one more thing. on the supra, the sticker doesnt seem to stick on. heres a pic. will it be good to liquid cement a little bit of the body or sticker to make it stick better?
if u cant see, i'll get another pic
thx

liquid cement or superglue or anything that drys clear should work but test some on the inside (assuming it is painted on the outside) to see if it "melts" the plastic it shouldn't, but try just in case and make sure it doesn't.

most super glue won't melt the plastic but it will take some of the paint off if your wiping the super glue off. Basically just make sure you only put how much you need and remember that it will spread out once you apply pressure to the sticker and you should be set!
pie, did you get my email response?
