i left my body in thinner overnight, and nothing happened to the paint. Then i just primed it and now im gonna paint it when i get the chance to. It looks like it will turn out good even if you dont remove the paint, but make sure you prime the body, or the paint will just run off the body.

my skys' been sitting in pinesol for about a month and a half and i had enough rubbing, not all the paint came off! however when i run my fingure over the spots with paint still it feels smooth.
Can i just leave it and paint over it since its smooth? if so, will the finish be smooth too or will the paint spots show? i've been trying every weekend to get the rest off but it doesnt seem to want to. its also gotten alittle foggy but no big deal im gona paint the inside of the windows black.
any tips on painting without removing all the paint?
-Besides multi-coats of paint-
edit- BTW im going to be painting it white, its the same color as it was before i stripped it, hope that helps

Just spray it with a coat of white primer and that will cover it up. Then you can spray the white top coat. If it's smooth like you say, it should be just fine. Let us know what happens.

Call me old fashioned...but I used some model sand-paper, elbow grease, and a dremel 'buffer' thing... I guess I did it the hard way huh? It looks nice though....

i use 2025 grit wet sandpaper..it works well enough to get the paint off without taking a lot of the plastic off in the process.
Meguire's(the auto wax guys) makes the 2025 grit paper..pack of 25 8x10 sheets for $2.25..get it at any shop that sells auto paint/bondo..etc. make sure u keep the paper wet..it works 100 times better.. a small 2"x2" peice will do the whole car.

if you prime your car like you should be doing anyway, you really dont need to take the paint off.

the spray paint i use dont need it? or has it in it or something, i spraid a model car about a year back and it came out good and glossy, regal red was the color. the paint didnt rub of or anything its still shinny after i whipe the dust off
btw i painted it stright onto the plastic with no prep besides whiping it down with rubbing alcohol, but then i handled it with my bare hands to dry it lol still came out good no messed up paint blisters or anything beside some lint that fell on the hood when it was drying
