I'll wipe the floor with your "American Muscle" with my clunker 4 banger honda civic! You've seen my vid's.
Just Kidding, I love American Steel. I used to own a '71 plymouth Roadrunner with a Police Interceptor 440 4 speed, 3:91 posi. It rocked. I have always been into muscle cars.
My ricer-civic is way freakin' fast though. If I could find a 1/64 mopar body for it, I would use it.

I copy-catted
I didn't set out to copy cat, it's just that the "Mad Max" looking thing on my Motor Works clone had to go, and this body needed a home. When I put it all together, it ended up with a bit of that muscle car look.
You do know that the 2000GT is a 160hp four banger don't you?

Ya know, I used to put my extra power in the back window like that, but now I have all three in the belly. I can take turns faster now than ever w/o flipping over. My 3cell booster is fantastic on road courses and ovals. Smoke like crazy down the straights, let off the gas a bit in the turns.
You should try it.

I guess it depends on what way the 4 cylinder was challenging the big block. In a drag race it would definitely be the bigger engine. On a twisty and tight road course the lighter 4 would have the upper hand. The higher revving engines ususally do. (not to mention fewer fuel stops) Trust me, I know ( i used to autocross and road race before marriage and parenthood took all my racing money) Although on the straights, the big blocks have the power to catch up pretty quickly.

You did justice to the gtr 2000 hog, It's one of my favorite bit bodies. And I see that gaffers tape working well for you.

Why frown on the 440. Hog has been the one pushing drag racing in other threads. Big blocks have the final word on the drag strip. That's why they use the Chrysler Hemi design.

About a month after i got married i had the opurtunity to pick up a 440 reeeeal cheap but my wife thought our pennies could be spent on something better than cars. That is where the frown comes from.

Heartbreak...
I had to sell mine before I got married, but I don't regret it. I miss it sometimes, though. It could pull the front wheels on a good launch pad.

My buddy has a '69 Coronet. He built it up to Super Bee specs. 418, with a 48" crossover tunnel ram manifold, and a pair of 850 Rodeck carbs. It purrs like a Cadillac, but when he floors it, it has an awsome sounding roar. It's a beast. His favorite trick is to floor it, and bury you in the springy bench seat, then ask you to change the radio station, which of course is impossible.
