The answer lies in your car.
If you can pop the motor out and it's extremely hot, then a heat sink might help, and you should try to find or design a better one.
Someone HAS to have done something about motor heating if it was a major problem.
I DO see alot of motor failure posts around. Maybe they're cooking? It's an interesting question.
