Hey Dutch, i posted awhile back on making your own steering coils, glad to see someone finally did it for the bit char-g, weve been doin it for a long time for planes
what is the ohm reading on the stock coils and what are the readings on your new ones? im guessing somewhere around 25 to 40 ohm across those coils, a lil less would prolly be better, so experiment with your coils and make them approx 10% to 15% less resistance than the stock, that should give you better turning power.
ive got magnet wire comin outta my ears, from 28 to 40 quage, ill try with a 36 or 38 guage and see what i come up with. gotta find some free time first tho.
also u can go to radio shack and buy a relay for like 6 bucks and get a a spool of 36 to 40 awg from the coil on those.
heres a link to a mouser catalog with the relays that have suitable wire on them, and there fairly cheap the A, B, or C series will work good.
