Luckily, I know that my controller is working fine since my other car runs w/o any problems. I should have told them that the chassis was from an Impreza, cuz I want the gold wheels. They are easier to paint. I like black wheels better than the chrome ones. I heard the chrome ones are a pain to paint.

My car would turn left and only turn right if I let off the gas, so I wrote to Hobbico about it hoping maybe I could send the car in for a repair, but they said they were sending me a new chassis. Okay, thats nice of them. I expected a chassis and I'd put my gears, motor etc into it. I open the envelope and lo and behold, its and ENTIRE CAR minus the body.
I immediately wrote them back telling them how pleased I was with their customer service and I agree with whoever said it earlier, that using thier customer-friendly interface to get free cars is dishonest. I got a car without the intent of doing so, but since my original car did have a legitimate problem, I feel that I got more than fair treatment from Hobbico.
Don't abuse the system.

yeah Hobbico is pretty good with customer service, sent an email stating my car probs. got a reply saying that they were sending me a new chassis, i was thinkin cool, will be 2 new coils and pcb attached to the "chassis" i opened the envelope after it arrived, and it was a new car minus the body. with customer service like that I am a loyal microsizer customer now. I will by no more clones. well maybe one or two for experimntation.
on another note, lets just break this down, prolly cost hobbico in the $2.50 -$ 5.00 usd range to make those cars including controller and packaging. they sell em to the dealer for at least 15 bucks, these cars are pure profit for the toy co's. which is why so many clone makers jumped on the bit char-g bandwagon if you sent them a car for repairs it would be a waste of money to pay someone an hourly wage to fix those cars, they would just toss em in the trash. even parts wouldnt be salvageable if they've already been used, (cant resell used parts as new) so instead they just send you a new chassis.
at any rate, ill still pay 19 to 29 for a microsizer depending on my mood at the time =) they are very kewl lil cars.
