I haven't found an off-the-shelf motor that will give you good torque and that kind of top end. (I don't consider NML an "off-the-shelf" motor) Maybe a PN Racing S03, but again, that requires FETs. None of the available 180s are that fast without wind reduction or a complete rewind.

hey neuro for a motor, i was thinkig along the lines of PN s03 motor or the Mini-ZRacer.com Super High Performance BB Motor Z-130-S-BB, please dont consider this a noob question, more so as an opinion, in your opinion which gives beter torque and power? also which is compadable with a 6cell upgrade

please note i will be purchasing new fets to upgrade as well...

The S03 is a favorite of the Mini-z guys, and for good reason. My own experiments have pointed me pretty much to the same thing. 35-39 turns, with thin Neo magnets. The Mini-z guys all require FET upgrades to run it, I think it's an iffy proposition in a stock XMod. I bet a double stack of the stock FETs could handle it fine, though. Just don't put a big pinion on it. 9 tooth max.

I don't know any specs on that particular Mini-Zracer.com motor. I don't recommend the Z-130-A-BB for XMods though. It was downright slow in these cars.

lol i know this sounds insane, but whats if i was to put my 12t pininon that i have? obviously the current draw would be through the roof but im pretty sure ill be getting some powerful fets ne wayz, o yea with 12T how badly would my torque suffer? i know this is all farfetch, but i want to beable to spin tires, as well as have a 25 mph top speed on stock batts

o yea im very much interested in your speed checker, where did you buy it from i saw one for 25 bux at a site that sells the s03 for around 28 bux

u can make a pinion puller

take like 10 soda cans, and cut away the aluminum, glue all the sheets together and bend in into a giant "U" then use a scissor or drill (with small bit) and make a slit on one of the "U's" arms (for the motor) and then put a tiny screw on the other arm of the U, put a motor in and tire black tape arount it to keep its shape, then use it like a pinion puller

or an easier appreoach would be to take the motor in question, wrap with many layers of Al, then take a lighter and hold it their for like 15 min... the Al will keep your motor safe... btw PLEASE USE PLIARS TO HOLD AND REMOVE THE PINION... i cant stress this enough!

aluminum is gonna conduct the heat rather than shield it. that's why they use it to cool processors.

yea but it works, put AL pver paper, and put a flame to the AL... the paper wont light because the AL blocks the heat, im not screwin with you, try it
