i was thinking about doing this a little different way, see instead of chopping the body why don't you just make the chassis of the xmod bigger, just extend the front of the car and then you could possibly have the model fit right on it. i haven't tried it but the only possible thing that i can think of that might be a down fall is making the servo arm bigger and have no capabilites of all-wheel drive(because then you would need to modify the drive shaft, make it bigger) what do you guys think? i would like to try it but i don't have the facilites.

Hmm... It would be a lot easier to modify the back end of the X-Mod. Maybe go to your LHS and pick up some small sheet metal pieces (big enough to make a new back piece ... the one you detach to add the AWD in the back part ...). You would use the metal to make an extended rear end (w/o being too weak or anything) and then somehow move the motor back far enough for it to drive the wheels (perhaps have it mounted to the new metal piece?) As I'm thinking of this, I'm thinking that it will be a lot easier for me to make my mods than I originally thought... Thank you for making me help myself. The GT-1 body I have is like REALLY wide on the XMod chassis, but the wheelbase is almost a perfect match! I could do that metal piece (minus the AWD ) to fit the GT-1 onto the otherwise-stock XMod chassis... I actually have a piece of metal left from the chassis I made for the Humvee that should fit perfect for the extended rear end. I'll look further into this and let y'all know what I determine.

:::EDIT::: I think that a new metal plate (or rear sub-frame?) would be possible, though you would have to move the motor back as well. The motor would be the easiest part to do as you would just drill some new holes for the mounting screws.
