man 400 mph would be a rush in a car but on a bike phew man scary. with that kinda accel how would the rider stay on the damn thing givin it the juice? you'd need a seatbelt or you would endup falling off the back of the thing.

recheck your math, dogg. 7 x 24 = 168 mph.... or, rounding to 25 mph/sec, say, about 175 mph. therefore, it would take approximately 16 seconds to get to 400 mph, at the same acceleration, which is merely impossible.
but whatever, it's fast as hell nonetheless

midget... what u smokin man? 2.5 second 0-60 is slow?
depends on how old you are or how loaded your family is... but if you could buy something that pushes on 5s, i'd be more than impressed. i'd be even more impressed that your parents would let you drive something that fast.. =)
and 400 mph? hot damn.... i cant even think how fast that is

0-60 in the low 3's is phenomenal for a car. Even superbikes like the Hayabusa are relegated to low 3's for 0-60. The fastest record for 0-60 in a street legal car that I'm aware of was set in England with a weird kit car that uses 2 Hayabusa engines, one for each axle. The kit car is similar to a Caterham (lightweight) and he managed to do 0-60 in 2.6 seconds if I remember correctly. I think he also got to 100 in something like 4.3 seconds, which completely trashed the McLaren's figures.
A little off topic but midget_man, how is the Top Thrill Dragster? Have you ridden it yet? I really want to make a trip there this summer. The last time I was at Cedar Point, the Mantis was the newest ride. I haven't even tried the Millenium Force yet, and I thought the Magnum was high! The TT Dragster is twice the height! I can't wait!

Actually, the fastest street legal car (believe it or not) is a Corvette. John Lingenfelter took a stock Corvette, and tuned the crap out of it to make an 802 horsepower monster. With this and 866 lb.-ft. of torque, the Lingenfelter Corvette can get to sixty in a mere 1.97 seconds, passing up 100 in only 4.33 seconds. The 1/4 mile was achived in 9.24 seconds at 150.27 miles per hour. Pretty amazing huh? I Know, I don't like Vettes that much either, but that Vette is a speed demon.

nope, I haven't ridden it yet.... it has been broken down more than it has been running, though..... i've only been there once (it's 45 mins west of me) this year.....
my god, millenium is an AWESOME ride! you don't even realize how high it is though lol... you don't have much time.... it's like got a 5 second lift time, it makes the lift hill not as scary.... then, you go almost completely upside down in the first turn... it's awesome....
but believe it or not, my favorite ride at that place is prolly The Wicked Twister. It was just put in last year and it is a blast... although, during this day that i went, I didn't even ride mantis, millenium, power tower, or TT dragster, so I dunno whether it would still be my fave if i rode those others....
oh yeah, and one last off-topic thing: The Mantis like crushes your "twins" like you would not believe.....
