Nova- we had initial D arcade stage a long time ago...i have a card (AE86 Levin) and so does Pie.

Damn...when i went to walmart today to pick up zelda, i saw AM for 59.99 bux!!!!!! i was sooo happy to just SEE it. then i asked my mom if i can borrow 50 bux and she said she didnt bring that much cash. or it could of been the fact that i just bought zelda for 50 bux...so she doesnt want me playing too many games. But i dont even have a GC!! But my mom wont understand...

masking is still not done.......damnit! im too lazy, but i'll get it done for sure.

Yeah, that initial-d stage was old, but it was fun. I'm going to buy a card next time.

They have automodelista on for sale a futureshop for 59.99 on the web with free shipping. I am wondering if I should buy it or if I should wait and just buy it in store. hmmmmm.....

heh, logged 8 hours of AM in 2 days....

kk well here's my semi-formal review of the game...

Graphics - not as sweet as GT..... there's no shinyness or candy paint involved.. but that doesnt really matter to me.. it looks good... and the cartooney look kicks ass... and seeing ur damn muffler change kicks ass!!!! the replays are pretty cool.... much faster paced, and this time you can PAUSE>...
*watches ralliart's kung fu buddies vids.. that kid could own me*

sounds - you want high pitched, 1.3L rotarty engine scream? ohhh it screams... frickin loud in first person view... the engines sound different... you can sure tell a viper engine from a celica... and so on... turbo whine is done pretty nicely... and wind noise is also noticeable... rain actually makes some noise... overall, the sounds get a 8 from me.. woulda been a 10, but the announcer needs to be killed... "Crash!"...."Why Are you so Bad?!" ... omg..

customization..: slight letdown here for me.... but still, it's nice... only 2 body kits available for each car... mixing and matching works... but it coulda been done better... then again, modelling kits for freakin 70 cars gotta not be easy... and they look good enuf as is... each piece can be painted separately, but no chameleon paint or anything.. just colors. Decals can be used, anything from a toyota symbol to tamiya decals to megaman... or just draw your own! unfortunately, only the hood and door panel decals can be drawn... i THINK... more about the preformance changes: the tracks give you one hell of a lot more tuning that the GT3 tracks.. no longer are you gonna change a setting and destroy your car's preformance... ur gonna HAVE to tune, and it's easy... very easy... and even better: i want BLITZ ECU.. not some crappy Apex'i ECU.... and you can actually do that too ^_^

gameplay: read the thingy review.... IGN... .it's pretty much my thots... cuz dammit! im not used to the driving... but it;s a lot easier to let ur buddies come play cuz it's just plain not as hard as GT3 to not suck.... like, it's a lot less real, you can go banging off walls and still not suck... im not completely satisfied, but then again not angry about it... 7

the rest: im too lazy... way... way... too lazy... like ralliart... ^_^
but one SWEEEEEEET thing to mention is there's a boost meter... bascially no more "when's my turbo boosting?! **** it's not hitting yet.... my inline 4 isnt gonna be able to catch up to that goddamn v10! omg omg... *crash*.... ****.."
basically what im trying to say is you can keep ur eye on ur boost and tune your turbo accordingly... what good is a massive 3rd gear-spooling turbo on akagi? and there's BLOWOFF!!!! omg i canNOT describe how cool it is.... it goes *POOM* and you get the blowoff valve ejecting into the down pipe... to the non-tuners: sparks a la F&F from my muffler..... my HUGE... bomb muffler.. scraping the ground..under my widebody white/black AMC celica... yeeeeeehhh biiitch!! .. ^_^

i know you got questions nova.... i say buy it, but make sure you got money for the network adapter.. .it makes a good game into a timeless, kick ASS game.. and im tired.. it's late.. ask the q's, i'll get around to it 2morro

I need this game. Except I can't find it anywhere, so I guess I have to wait a week+.

Hey, I found the network adapter. I also have a Linksys Router BEFSR41 V.2. Does anybody know if it is easy to set up with Shaw Broadband? I have't heard on anyone with a PS2 and shaw, but I hope it works... Any ideas?

Well, I just phoned Walmart and they just sold the last one Oh well, I waited all week anyway, lol. I am deciding to buy it from futureshop online. I get free shipping plus 5% off, so I guess I'll go that route.

I think I might, I get 10% off I think if I do, you should think about buying it online since it pretty much is free shipping and 6 dollars cheaper(53.99). I just want to make sure my Network Adapter works and I think shaw works, do you have shaw?

oh, yeah, we so gotta have a team!!!

I;m checking on this whole network adapter thing.
1)Sony Online (some installation, and message boards)
2)Xbox Canada (routers that work with xbox live, so they should work with soe)

I'm still debating on whether to get it. Is is worth a purchase and will I still like to play it after awhile?(I'm not worried about the controls). Also is it FUN to play, like drift?
