What's your experience with multiple steering springs on a ZZ?

I've heard this is a way to go with modified high-speed models. Have you tried it?

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

I just got the double cell working tonight in my ZZ. I am VERY happy with this.

I'd ordered a LiPo cell and a charger, but I'm thinking this is way overkill now. It would be lighter... and like a three cell car (3.7V).

Perhaps I'll need three steering springs!

Regards,
Brett

My fastest cars all have dual steering return springs.

It's a good idea to help keep control by dampening the steering twitch, which as we all know can be deadly at speed.

Would there happen to be a place I can get an extra steering return spring for my zz without buying and tearing up another zz?

Have I got a great answer to this:
Go to Radio Shack and ask for any busted returns.... Lots from the kids at Xmas these days.

I got three free cars by doing so... Already 2 are FET modded and one is dual celled... Both work just fine. Motor was seized on one, steering magnet fell out on other: ~20 minutes repair time for both. The third has a bad receiver board. I'm going to swap in one from another car... Waste not want not...

dude they sell the wire they make the springs out of. go to something like hobby lobby ( they use it a lot for flower stuff because its so thin you cant really see it. and it is easy to make your own. i use the screwdriver the ZZ comes with to get the circle in the middle right.
