I might know what the problem is. I had to fix my nephew's car that was having the same problem. If you open the front cover up you see a small metal wire coiled around a post that is connected to the steering magnet. The straight portion of this coiled wire extends out to the white post that connects to the white tab on the bottom of the car. The problem is that the wire isn't wrapped tight enough around the post connected to the steering magnet. To fix it, take the magnet assembly out and slip one end of the wire over the "T" part of the assembly. Be very careful not to let the wire jump off the assembly. It's very easy to lose. After you do this, you should see the straight parts of the wire cross each other. What you want to do is take a small screw driver or something and put it between the straight parts of the wire and press them toward the post that it coils around to make the ends cross each other even further. This will cause the ends to press harder against the white post connected to the steering tab under the car when everything is put back together. It's this pressing of the wires to the white post that causes the front wheels to straighten up after turning. This should solve your problem and increase the responsiveness of your steering. I hope this helps. If you have any questions please let me know.

Kyle
