Okay, we've added the first alternate color scheme, to try it, click on the User CP button, then under Edit Options, choose Greyscale as your Style Set. Give it a try if you can't handle the default red and black. If you have other color scheme ideas, feel free to post them (specify HTML colors if possible). Thanks!

Hmmm...buttons and simlies are still the same red, does this board puts different themes into different folders? If so I guess you can change the button color, the greyscale effect should do the trick .

BTW it matches my avatar wheee.

You can, but we left them the same so that the the Greyscale style has a little bit of color.

Really weird when you just looked at red.

The greyscale is really werid but silver and black go together. I hope that tinyrc will give us more different choices. It's only a suggestion. No need to rush. I've heard a lot of things happening with the 3.8 motors so im staying with 1 3.0 not 2 but 1 even though im getting 2 bit chargs. I hope that i will eventually get a 3.8 and smoke my friends. They will not notice until they beat me. I'm new to bit char-g but I'm getting used to it. Im ordering a Skyline GTR Pennzoil Zexel, and a Skyline GTR Loctite Zexel. Ones gonna be a drag racer so I hope to find a place I can order drag rear tires+wheels and 1's gonna be a all out top speed for endurance. -SuBaRuWrXsTi

My thoughts on colors

Well, for me the white on red is easier to read. The black and white is too contrasting and it hurts my eyes.

I think a color scheme based around a shade of green would work. IMO, therre are too may forums with a blue color scheme, and it is kind of bland.
The current red based theme visually sets tinyrc apart from other R/C forums because it is so very different, very bold.

Okay - quick contest, no physical prizes, but the winners will be made famous as their names will show when people select their color theme; create your own theme using the #xxxxxx web colors, and the following template as a guide:

Main Colors
Page Background Color
Table Border Color
Category Strip Background Color
Category Strip Font Color
Table Heading Background Color
Table Heading Text Color
First Alternating Table Background Color
Second Alternating Table Background Color
Link Color
Hover Color for Links
Time Color

Now, it may not be clear what all of these mean, so the best way to find out, and to play with ideas, is to go to:

http://www.vbulletin.com/admindemo/

and click the link at the top of that page to access the admin - then under Styles hit Modify, then fonts/colors/etc., and then scroll to Main Colors, and start trying different color combos! Thanks in advance for the cool color schemes you come up with - now everyone will be able to find a theme that works for them!
