Sorry to break it to ya cheif, but the guy who sold it to you dosnt know **** in my opinion, the little 4 in the top corner is refers to the car being compatable with the 4 band controller, the 4 band controller is white and has a switch to go between the four frequencies.....
I think you have been missinformed.
(I use the 4 band controller for my set)

As far as the PCB goes, there is co "clicking into place" it just sorta folder over the the side of the car, if you knw what i mean, dont pull to hard though, those wires are miiiighty thin.
Pie: If I have not missunderstood in my research, doesnt the silver supre come in a 45 freq chassis. If I was able to score that, your celica and the Auto Modellista set would be the only same ones.... hmmm. Im just thinkin then it would be cheaper to replace a chassis or something.
.................................................. .........OR....................................... ....................
I could pick up the 45 freq supra if I could find it, then get you the Auto modellista set but change the chassis in that! that way instead of sending an extra chassis and remote i could just send a chassis.... eek, heh that may not work. (dont suppose you have the 4 freq controller hey?........damn....
swavey wracks his brain for a few minutes...
I think of something productive dont you worry.

kk i found an answer! i dont really need all 3 cars to be of different frequencies, and since the auto modellista set comes with a booster PCB (im assuming), it would be expensive and slightly difficult to replace.... seeing as getting another booster car = extra money...
thus, since the silver supra IS 45 mHz... (.... i cant believe im so careless.. ) then there is no problem. no problem whatsoever =)
the celica and the auto modellista set being the same freq isnt too big of an issue... heh, so there's no need for any swapping of any kind.. unless someone offers to, of course..
thx for the solutions swavey!!!! man.. i gotta do more research before i go off panicking and getting worked up... oh btw ur avatar looks great.. what's the chinese/japanese word say?
heh, ralliart, the PCB (the chip board) itsself is more or less durable... the cover can just be popped off... the thing is, be careful with the steering wires... those are crazy thin...just dont pull hard on the board and it should be fine...

Okay that works! you know any other people who want em, while im shipping? lol
My Avatar: MY name is Michael Ward, in japanese it is only written in a form called katakana, than is made up on only straioght lines, Kanji is all that mad cool stuff with like 20 lines, heh. One day I told my friend that I wanted to know what my name was in Kanji,
so the two symbols there say maikeru (michael) not proper writting for a foreign name, but its more fun.
My bank account work logs and everything are under that symbol, I love it, the first one means Dance, (whoich is cool, cause I am a hip hop dancer) and the second means kick or something, heh. (so I kick ass!) i dunno I love photoshop, so I make all sorts of avatars and signatures all the time, this particular one has about 5 versions to "match" the color scheme of all the different boards i post on. (most other versions are signatures, so they are a bit bigger
Im trying to fin shipping rates to canada from japan, but dont reaslly know where to look yet, Ill keep ya posted

hmm... all i know is me and ralliart... i guess this is pretty close to last call for all orders?! anyone who wants, say something soon oh, btw, if it's not too much of a bother, could you just take a quick check of the sets for me? just give it a little test run... you know, seeing if the steering and such actually works... cuz defects would be a pain, coming from japan and all..
and how should i pay you? if the shipping is expensive... like mebbe 20 or so bucks, i could always wait until april (if it's not a problem)... actually i kinda intend to wait... heh, a little present to myself for my b.day =)
once you get the stuff, tell me how much it costs! so we can meet up when you get back and exchange
you made that avatar urself?! that's madness.... heh, im taiwanese... (shameful that i cant read chinese) and im taking japanese in school... it's actually pretty fun.. heh, hip hop dancer? do you do that for a living? cuz if you do, whoaaaa... that's a lot of money..!
well yeah... thx for the help!!

Payment, I have no idea, heh.
No I dont dance for a living, I have taken lessons for ten years, and hope to teach in Edmonton or somewhere in Alberta when I get home. Hope to do it for a living some time!! (shortly after coming home from jap, I have to go to competitions, then I will be dancing in LA classes for a few weeks, heh fun stuff... but mighty expensive

i say cash... easiest way.. cuz im not 18 yet and dun have a cheque book...
whoaaa man u been taking dance for 10 years!? you gotta be crazy good then... mad skillz...! =P heh, im sensing u gotta be early - mid 20s then rite?
lol ralliart, it's a little packed in the body... but not so bad as long as ur careful... im gonna have to tear it apart again.. my steering's... **bothering** me... lol
ps... pig, from those pix i think those batts are NiMHs... well they're yellow and i think i can make out the words...
do ur bits have NiMHs? they help like mad cuz you can stock charge them about 10 times and end up with a 20 minute run time (with a 3.x)

yes they are Ni-Mh i don't have a bit im a clone guy for now but 20 min sounds like a fun time (might actually get board of it after that much driving)
Pie-- eep hope the steering prob will get better so many tiny little parts that bend and break easly. i hate opening up even the PCB cover on my clones for fear of killing tiny wires with my garganchewan fingers, oh well.
tommorow (Friday) im in Red Deer so i am going to be on the lookout for some kit racers which one should i get i heard the MPH/KPH is the best. Opinions?

oooooo nimh! those are great! cuz if you wanna have an extra long run just to make adjustments and tests w/o having to charge again, you can simply stick it on and charge as many times as you want...
heh, the steering Should get better... i think i bent a spring messing in there last time... and yeah, it freaks me out.. i got "girly" fingers... as everyone says, but im not all that coordinated heh, i shoved all the wires under the PCB, away from my fingeres... this weekend i'll try =)
ooo kit racers.. tell me the prices! i found some for 18.. pretty pricey... but good for what they have... batt, tires, gear, 2.6.... well the fastest motor is the 2.6... so basically RPM or MPH have the same motor, but get the one with orange tires... soft!
tommorow (Friday) im in Red Deer so i am going to be on the lookout for some kit racers which one should i get i heard the MPH/KPH is the best. Opinions?

just out of curiosity do any of you guys have a micro tank or wild char g that is suited for climbing? I was going to convert one of my clones into a monstor truck but though of possibly buying something before i hack this clone apart. I know there is a desktop rover and wild char g. Anyone here have one or know of another similar type?
Thanks

I agree, the one with the 2.6 engine (MPH or RPM) and orange tires would be the best to get. If you find anything let me know ( I may also go looking tomorrow)! I have the 2.2 engine from the Energi KIT and it seems like a solid engine. You may also consider getting a better gearing (4.57:1, 3.43:1 or 3.95:1) from them to use in your dual cell clone, bet it would make a world of difference!
Also, I found a brand new Tomy Project D (Initial D) set for only ~$30cdn! Shipping is a bit high at about $20cdn but he also has another brand new real Tomy Lancer for only ~$15cdn!! Might just have to pick them up...
