So I'm about to undertake some fairly serious power mods for my mini-x, the list pretty much goes
N40H neo mags (check out Draconius at the mini-zracer site)
Squat BB can
PN-CR38 carbon brushes
Fet upgrade
8-cell pack using the new PN-racing 1.25V 780mAH batts.
Basically. with all these power mods, I'm pretty sure the biggest jump will be in the torque, since neo mags that are way more powerful than stock tend to increase torque but decrease rpms.
I was wondering what options I have for longer gearing for the mini-x to take advantage of all the extra torque and increase the top end and also gear it so it doesn't just wheelspin.
From what I've seen at the the parts shop here, the only option seems to be a 34t Diff. That isn't going to do very much is it? Can we fit a larger spur gear in there? I can't see that there's much room in the stock setup for it. And is 34t the lowest count for a mini-x diff? Wonder if it's possible to squeeze in a 11 or 12t spur? Any thoughts from anyone about the possibilities and options for gearing?
Wouldn't be too much fun to just have a huge increase in torque and no way to convert it to more speed.
