Got my 350Z today! Apart from being VERY happy with it (I have my 3.8 in it and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!), I ran it through some tests.
There's been speculation and rumors thrown about, about just HOW a Booster works, well I took my Multimeter out (gawd I love my meter!) and it's a mystery no more!
The way I tested is EXACTLY the same as with my Motor Tests (link is in my sig).
Okay, here's the breakdown. All tests were run with a fully charged bit.
Voltage:
Unboosted: 0.9v
Boost: 1.3v
Current- Max output(no motor):
Unboosted: 160mA
Boosted: 321mA!!!!! (Stock Bit has a max of ~275mA)
Current- No load (with 3.8 motor):
Unboosted: 66mA
Boosted: 86.7mA (80mA in a Stock Bit)
Current- Max load (with 3.8 motor):
Unboosted: 133mA
Boosted: 273mA!!!! (225mA in a Stock Bit)
What does it all mean?
2 things.
1. Unboosted, the Booster car puts out LESS voltage and LESS current than a Stock Bit...So Using the same Motor in both cars, it would be considerably SLOWER and less torque.
2. Boosted, the Booster car puts out the SAME voltage and MORE current (Hmmm, I remember theorizing this before

) than a Stock Bit. So using the same Motor in both cars, it would be about the same SPEED but more 'punch' because of higher current.
