Couple ??s about chargeing at 4 volts.
I have a clone that came with a separate charger that runs off of 3 AAAs. I tested it, and aparently the timer is taking exactly a half volt. It put out 3.94 when the individual batteries read 1.48, and 4.15 with a fresh set that were 1.55 a piece.
My first question is that i see people charge dual cells with 3-cells, so would 4.15 volts be enough to charge a car with dual cell, or do I still have to disconnect the timer? I realize it would be better, but is it necessary?
Also I know from running 1/10 scale that that higher voltage means faster discharge, and shorter run times. So I was wondering if charging at 4 volts would have a similar effect. I didn't know if it would cause the battery to take a higher voltage. I just know that the clone eats the Zip Zap for breakfast, even with a 2.6 in the Zip Zap. I initially assumed that was mostly due to gearing, but now I wonder if this is a factor
