zip zap newbie

i just got one for christmas (black civic) and its pretty cool, but i have some questions about modding

what is an ecb , electric circut board?
and what does it mean to flip it?

i want to replace the stock antenna (on the car) with a better , longer one but i cant figure out how to take off the plastic part covering the circut board... any tips?
