SUPER HIGH SPEED (3.8, dual bat, speed gears)

Has anyone run a 3.8 with the (I think teal) gears (high speed in the 3 gear and axle set) with dual battery? I have this need for speed, and with 8 points on my license, I kinda have to keep it on the kitchen floor . Are there any adverse affects to the circuitry of running 2.4 volts instead of 1.2? I've done some work with battlebots and I know that you really can't double the voltage through an ESC without melting it (but thats 48 on a 24 volt unit, so maybe the effects aren't as extreme with low voltages)? And also, the steering is done with magnets instead of servomotors, and the motor can probably handle the extra juice.

Anyway, input is appreciated, thanks a lot guys!

And also, would I be able to control this beast?
