NiMH rechargables problem

On a full charge, my 4 RS Nimh rechargable batts last about 15mins, then the car starts to get slower (and boring) I am using awd and a stage 2 motor, is this normal, or should I get new batts?

It gets really annoying, as my charger takes 9 hours to charge them! my quick charger is out of action, as i need a plug adaptor.

would the batteries last longer in an xmods evo with the same hopups?
