Universal Body Mounts
Hey all,
I've been working on a couple of different bodies for my long chassis. Most of the mods are incredibly easy to do. The one I've been having the most problems with is mounting the rear part of the body to the chassis. However, I think I have come up with a fairly simple way that should work for most model bodies.
Unfortunately I don't have any pics yet because I've had trouble finding the kind of plastic I want (living in Canada can suck sometimes).
Now for this mod you will use a normal RS rear clip. I'm talking about the black thing at the back of the RS bodies that goes down through the chassis and then you secure underneath. I hope that description is clear enough.
Note: This is much easier to do if you leave the windows out until all the fabbing is done.
Now, you need to make sure everything is measured out because fitment is important. Now, what you need to do first is make sure the body is sitting how you want it. Then mark the sides of the inside of the body where the hole for the rear clip is in the chassis.
