Micro-Mega Amps
OK I just got my SE back from the master, Micro_Amps, and boy does this guy sell himself waayyyy short. He needs to change his name to MEGA_AMPS!!! That's the kind of power I get now!!!
I got it sent to work so I could compare it to my coworkers car right when it came in. We both have SEs that are pretty much stock, run the NX motors but he has the blue gears and since I didn't feel like changing my gears, I ran the red. I figure hopefully the more amps will make up for the torque. When we both started off a dead stop (our run is about 20 ft) I pretty much doubled his distance. There was no torque advantage for him. The next pass, I let him get a head start of about 6 or 7 feet then squeezed the trigger, my car glitched for a quick sec then took off and I still took him. My car pretty much matched his speed within a foot then exceeded and caught. We do run on carpet so I can't wait to get home and hit the hardwood floors. He's sending his car tomorrow. Now that I know what these things can do, I'm disappointed in how they come stock.
My other friend is bringing his car tomorrow so we're gonna do more testing then. When I first decided to get the work done I was very aprehensive because with the money, I could've bought another car. Plus I don't trust anyone since I've been took to the bank before. But this guy was absolutely great! Always responsive to all my concerns and a quick turnaround once he got it. I swear, he was almost as good as this forum in terms of teaching me.
If you're debating about getting another car or getting the M_A Mosfet mod, get the mod. Since my engine is no longer resticted to what the pcb will supply I'm wide open to add more cells and up the amps. Since I started this hobby this has been the best mod/investment I've done!!!
