extra cell skeptics....READ READ!!!!
I know there are people out there with their cars maxxed out. The power is around for a little while then it gets old. Then they go on a forum (preferably this one cause all other ones are crappy knock-offs) and read around about more power. These people find threads that say things like, "Double your speed!" "More power in minutes!". 90% of these are extra cell mods, either five or six depending on the application. When inexperienced members ask how it is done, people answer "It's easy! just cut the black wire and put it up to the batt! 10 minutes max!" So, many of these novices go out into their garage and begin tinkering with their xmods. There are many outcomes to this which are as follows:
1. Electrocution
2. Fried XMOD
3. Discouragement
4. All of the above
You are probably wondering how I know all of this. It is because I was one of those people. I searched and searched for directions to do an extra cell mod. Someone told me (in exact words), "Connect the black wire to the batt's ends." This is futile information. I kept looking until I found a diagram. The diagram was rough and crude, but it seemed okay. Little did I know as I headed out to the garage, that the diagram was incomplete and it didn't have the pos. and neg. symbols on it. I tried and tried and couldn't get it to work. But! I looked at the diagram and i noticed something! THE P.O.S. WAS F*****G UPSIDE DOWN! So i recorrected it and I now have the simplest instructions for wiring a fifth cell into your xmod. The increased power is incredible. I only went for the 5th because with a 6th, it is much harder to drift with just RWD (which I have). So here are the directions to wiring up your new XMOD to a Fifth cell. These directions do not include using a battery holder, but an even better and economical solution..........ZIPTIES!
