Sherman tank improvement

Is anyone else staging battles on a regular basis?

We regularly have battles involving four tanks. I have been using the Sherman a lot. It seemed to me that this tank was inaccurate. I was missing a lot of shots.

Then it dawned on me. The short barrel on the Sherman made it more difficult to line up shots accurately. The solution . . . upgrade to M4A1(76)W.

This version of the Sherman M4 featured a 76mm gun with a much longer barrel. This particular tank also featured "wet storage" of the ammunition, which reduced the chances that the tank would 'light up' when hit.

I used a piece of heat shrink tube to model the longer gun. The tube was shrunk over a drill bit of the proper diameter, so it just slides on the existing cannon. Painted with it OD.

Now when we battle in "Expert" mode, the Sherman is operated in "Equal" mode, because of the better armor and gun.

That seems more fair!
