Radio Range ....

Hi,

I tried to locate the cripel cap in my new Microsizer controller but could not find it on either side. ****ty range with that controller.

So I looked at the cars PCB and it had a cripel cap on it, so I removed it. Range got about 3 or 4 feet better including the CAT5 antenna @ 15mm long. I'm at about 14' when studder happens. Can someone tell me where the cripel cap on the controller is, if there is one?

Here's a pic:

Also, what's with that dinky little rolling antenna? I am using the Clones (bit char-a) controller instead cause the range is better. Maybee because the antenna is a telescopic.

I also took the clones motor and swaped it with the microsizers motor. What a difference! ! ! I guess that clone's motor may be a 2.0 motor.

Please advise.

KIT

The rev.5 boards has no known cripple capacitor. Some people have said that C11 is the crip cap but you'll get different opinions on that issue.
