Where is the admin?

Where is everybody? Posts aren't being moderated, heck, I don't think any admins have even logged on in over a year let alone browsed anything. I'm gettin no replies to emails. Has this forum been abandoned?

Probably.... I think the mini RC fad has wained out.... Xmod prices on ebay keep sinking. I get a chuckle out of all the people that payed tons of $$$ for all their aluminum parts and hop-ups and now can't even get 25% of what they invested back.

Good news to me I guess

But I agree.... there should be some moderation here.

Well, being bored or to busy to lurk or post is one thing, but someone needs to mind the store. I've been away myself for awhile but always assumed TinyRC would be here as usual. At least, I thought if the admins had enough, they would close the site. This feels like a car going down the road with no one driving.
And, I agree the micro scene has cooled somewhat, but that just makes these sites all the more handy. Once all the casual interest dries up, there is always still the few folks that are really into the hobby and all it offers. They won't ever stop modding and customizing. Sites like this become priceless resources that can be used indefinately. But, somebody needs to dust and take out the trash every now and then or the place turns into crack house. Ya, know what I mean?
If it would help, I could offer to help with moderating. But, with no admins around, I may be talkin to the wall here.

I agree. I would love to help out too. I haven't been on the board that long, but when it comes to zip zaps, bits, and xmods, I know quite a bit. Being an EE helps out a bit too. Hopefully one of the old admins will be on soon and perhaps delegate some new powers.

I just emailed Tiny about it, we'll see. I'm not interested in modding for any sort of authority. And I'd say it gets to be some work putting in the time to chase around in circles re-banning some kid that links porn sites as his latest antenna mod cause he thinks it's funny. Especially after you've done it for the umpteenth time with the umpteenth kid. But, somebody needs to do it if the forum is to continue as an asset to micro hobbiests.

Well, it was a noble effort folks, but nothing is happening. No replies to posts or emails to Namuna or Tiny. Namuna has posted on another forum since I've posted here and emailed him, so he's completely abandoned the forum or just doesn't care, either way, the forum is on it's own. Really shoddy in my opinion.

Well, I'd think there is still some hope. This is one of the more unactive forums though. I do like it for it's information better, getting around all the "bitpimp" talk.

Whatever I guess.

NOMINATING AZIMOV OR JAZZ32

We should nominate our own powerless moderator then anyone for Jazz32 or Azimov they're equal for me so you decide people.

But I LOVE NAMUNA'S Advice so much he under my username.

Gotta add Azimov too!

Okay folks, sorry for being AFK on these forums for such a long time.

If people like Azimov are still around (or coming back around), then these forums deserve some upkeep. I admit, with the micro RC hobby seeming to come to an end, I myself went on to other things.

But I'm back now and will be keeping a closer eye on the Forums, takin out the trash and sweepin the floors.

I've also changed my profile email to an address I check much more often.

...Now I'm off to try and catch up on some Forum activities.

Hey Namuna, if you'd like some help with some of the admin stuff, I'd be more than willing. I know there's not a lot to keep up on right now, but I feel most consider me quite reputable on here.

Yeah I don't think I would be able to do it because i don't know if i could handle it....The only think that I'd be good at is me updating the site because as you can see I'm on almost everyday.

But I think That Jazz32 is perfect for the job. And maybe Azimov if you can.

Namuna! Good to see your large, green face man! Sorry I've been away, but I've been dabbling in animation and haven't had time to play with my toys. The latest sale at Rat Shak combined with a little time between projects brought me back around to my favorite forum. I'll be around as I've finally got some MTs to play with and I'm currently gathering info on articulating it. I also have some other fun modifications I've wanted to try for awhile.
Really nice to see the place is still being looked after.
