every once in a while i have the same problem. i take the rear end out and clean everything. especially check if the driveshaft is in the spur gear correctly. take the screwdriver and clean the differential. if you have bearings or AWD make sure to clean all of that too.

Check the gears and see if there is anything wedged in them. See if they are properly installed, and try greasing them with a lubricant. I will see if I can find the correct one.

just in case nobody knows what im talking about...i attached a recording of the noise that my car makes when i rev it in my hand. Before i switched the motor, it didnt have that screeching noise, it had a weird grinding noise instead. When i run the car on the ground, the screeching disappears but then the grinding noise comes back.....Click here to listen (you may have to right-click and save target as)

I just found out the only the drift motor makes that screeching noise. The drag motor makes the grinding noise, the road race makes an even louder grinding (and is very very slow now...the gears slip) and the top speed barely even moves (but you can hear the gears slipping) I know its not the motor because i have checked. Its something with the gears or the diff

MMM...You know those two screws that attach the back end to the middle chassis piece? Try taking those out and putting them in again, make sure that it goes in all the way and not crooked. I've had that problem before. Yours might be different.

Theyre not in crooked...they're straight. They go all the way in.

yes the gears. did you check if the rear driveshaft holder was broke? try reseating that. you have to remove the motor, take the screws out and put them back in and put the motor back in. that might help. did you check the pinion? see if something is in it.
