Just did laymans
The batteries went cross country in 3 days! Talk about good delivery. Hurt my fingers ripping off excess metal with a small screwdriver, but it was worth it. i popped in two batteries and charged it for about 3 minutes. When i pushed accel it flew! The weird thing is, my steering was too good! If i just tapped the left or right buttons it would literally spin around and do a complete 180 degree turn. It was too hard to control that way, so as we speak i'm putting on the stock stabisus bar and might take out it's REMs :P

you could try using a different tire tread
and no you can't use the stock charger the light either flashes from red to green or stays green

A. You can't use the stock charger. Sorry. But my charger cost me like 3 bucks including batteries. Just took the charging dock from the controller and hooked it to a battery case.
B. I put on all slicks and it still turns uber sharp. Gonna have to go with Bit Char-G hard slicks.

using hard tires wont help your traction. use the factory or all weather tires. or you could wrap tape around the tire then take it off, that will make the tires stick a little better

With the Layman's mod, you get a max runtime of 36 minutes. And sport treads may make your car fip out....

That's only if you peak charge them.
I charge using ziprc's type of charger(4 aaa bat case) for 5-6minutes and get a runtime, depending on motor of between 3-5 minutes. The layman's cells are great and a worth while investment seeing as the car with 3 of them in the space of a single cell is delagated to dragging and runtime really isn't that big of a factor in my opinion. No matter what you do to the stock rims ziprc you'll have the same problem. You're not only upping the voltage to the motor but to the steering assembly as well making it a stronger magnet in effect. You do need wider wheels to help.
