Tomy has some new gear sets coming out this month I believe. Don't quote me though. You might want to check those out.

ZZ Green and MS Orange (stock) are exacty the same thing exept for the color, and will have slightly more torq than the warp drive gears, whick have high top speed but low accel.

The thing with torque, speed and gears is you get one or the other. Any particular motor will have certain characteristics, and the gears just shift the available power to either get more torque (quickness) or more speed (higher top speed). Gear equivalents are ZZ Red = MS Teal, ZZ green = MS orange, ZZ blue = MS Blue. The blue gears will give you more torque, but you have to have grippy enough rear tires if you don't want to just spin in circles. They're useful for crappy motors or techical tracks where you don't want to go too fast. Teal/red gears give you more top end speed, but it takes a greater distance to reach it. I actually like the reduction in torque for handling purposes. The green/orange gears are in the middle.

i never really thought about this untill now....say you want more torque, well than you stick the teal axle in tere...but what if you put the blue gear in there....green axle(more torque) , blue gear(higher top end) would this actually do nething or not

The pinion gear and axle gear are designed to work with eachother. I'm not sure you can mix a blue pinion gear with a teal axle, if that's what you're suggesting.

that would be pointless. count the teeth on every gear, then do the math, and see what gear ratios you would get with each combo

sorry for jumping at you, the gears would probably basically cancel each other out, and you would get the medium orange gears.

From what I hear, the 3.43:1 gearset has little torque. From what I've seen and experimented with.....IT IS CRAZY FAST!!!! It is worth waiting the full 2 seconds for it to hit top speed. It's just 2 seconds! If you're having a 5-second race or more, these are good gearsets! Buy a KIT racer and see for yourself! Of course, you'd need good gripping tires on the KIT axle. So, grab a KIT racer, apply some all-season tires or MS soft block treads on the rear axle and ZOOOOM!

BTW Yay I've reached 500 post count!
