Show me the money!

OK. I am telling you the dnano is a great rc race car. It is worthy of a real racing scene. I'm not talking about a kidney or jelly bean shaped thing of 4 second laps. I mean a race track and a following. Can anyone show me a picture of a HobbyTown that has such a thing... a real RACE TRACK and a FOLLOWING. I would say it should be 8-10 second lap times and 10-20 people racing. Does it exist???

Or, do we ask Kyosho to rethink this and give smaller shops an opportunity to get it done?

Well I'm totally new to the dnano scene but I'm wondering what a smaller hobby store could bring to the table that a HT franchise cannot?

Kyosho needs to start thinking about it period....I've had my car since Labor day and they still have not uploaded the photo to go along with my car. They have not added the Aston Martin etc.The people left out west don't seem to have alot of interest in the product based on a conversation in early October.I agree it is a great little car. The marketing side of it is not too good.......

In one word... ENTHUSIASM!

Have you seen an rc racing venue?

Have you seen ANY Hobby Town with ANY racing venue (dnano or otherwise)?

Anyone else care to explain in more words?

Good!

That's a start.

Anyone else??

So far, we have seven people racing... across our great nation.

What is the ave lap time/track length? Just curious.

This will give you an idea of what is going on.The track is on an 8 foot by 12 foot surface low 4 second laps are really good.

Wow rather vile wording as you dont know anyting about me. For your info I've been around the RC scene since '85, so yes I've seen and been a part of many racing venues across the US. And yes I have seen HT stores with good race programs, and have seen many small mom/pop shops that could'nt tell which side of the car went down. Its the people that run the program not the size of the shop that determines the success of the racing.

Good point!!!

Which is why the people who have an interest and motivation to provide racing venues, should have an opportunity to participate in the business.... duh!

Personally, I am frustrated with my local HT. They have sold enough dnano cars to start a race schedule but they prefer to use the track as a work table. I have purchased three cars from them and not the first one has been registered. They haven't bothered to learn how to use any of the equipment they have received from Kyosho. They tell me they are waiting for interest to build but the real answer is they are not interested. I have gone to that shop over a hundred times and I can count the amount of times some one asked if they could help me on one hand. That was usually the girl at the register. In short, you are right, it is the people and the people at my HT just don't care.
