Motor Parts - Making Motors..PLEASE HELP!
Hi, i have tryed to make a motor before..but not this small..and they were just kits..but now i want to make these motors but i cant seem to find any parts! i got a few from here but that was like only one or two stores..there must be more stores carrying other brands for motor parts..the only link i can remember as of right now is RcMart.com. They seem to have some decent stuff..mostly PNRacing and Yeah Racing. Basicly, im just asking am i stuck with getting a Yeah Racing can, magnets and PNRacing Armature? Where else do i get the parts? Please give me some links where to get armature, cans, wire, magnets all that..please i got one place for wire and RCMart for the rest..i dont understand how these are the only places that have these parts. There must be other people offering these parts. Also! How can i be sure the can AND the armature are for 130 style motors??
Thanks alot - Dean

Dinball's RCMart is where I just picked up a few cans and some thin Neo magnets (Yeah Racing). For coming from Hong Kong, it didn't take that long to get. (2 weeks, standard shipping). For armatures and brushes, I have just been using old stage 1 and 2 motors. At $12 for 4, they're cheap enough to sacrifice.
For winding wire, you can pick up three rolls at Radio Shack for under $5, or you can get bigger rolls from this place:
I'd really like to know where NML or World Champion Engine get their stuff from (especially the nicer armatures), but I'd be willing to bet they won't share that info...
Don't forget to scour the slot car sites, though, as some of the 1/24th and 1/32 cars use 130 motors as well, and some of the parts used in their motors can be scavenged.

Yeah Dinball's is good, but the website is horribly slow. You should also check out www.minizracer.com

Honestly, minizracer.com doesn't have much for motor-building supplies. They sell wire, but it's $4 for 10 feet, and they had Squat ball-bearing motor cans for a while, but I haven't seen them listed lately. Having used both the Squat and the Yeah Racing cans, the Yeah Racing ones are better anyway. If you get the ones without the magnets, they are the Auldey cans that NML also uses.
