Don't think I'm crazy...

I had good reason to open it.

I could tell it had been opened before

It was $113 (check edit notes). Not only was it opened before, they did a very bad job disguising it. The corners were ripped and fingerprints were on everything. But, I'm not that upset. Everything works and it is in great condition. Notice the rims aren't standard.

Would it be wrong of me to mold the body and offer them up for trade?

EDIT:
FUDGE!! The car cost me $188. That's more then I could have bought it from sigma... a US based company! Now I'm pretty P'd. I've sent them off an email.

It was the BitCharg UK site. Can't remember the address. I'm not too upset cos' maybe they said it was already opened before and I didn't see it. That price came with the shipping so it's well below what others are selling them for. The body is one of the best and the rims are unique. It was a great addition to my collection. Now one of my favorites.

I don't blame you

BTW for all the toy nuts that like to keep everything packaged check out this short film

http://atomfilms.shockwave.com/af/content/figure_club

I can only leave it in the package for so long, half the fun is opening it. I have a nice little Johnny Lightning 007 Lotus car here which I have in the package, hoping to save it but I so want to open it

I hear ya, Dended. I plan on molding it now too so it was a good thing It was already opened. What I'd really like to get my hands on and mold is your VW bus! Any chance I can borrow it to mold and send it and a few (five) duplicates back to you? I'll let you hold onto $50 so you know I'll return it. I've gotta have that body!
