X-Men ZipZap
I just recieved my 49Mhz X-Men car with Cyclops on the box and have a few questions. Anyone that has one and a 2002 model zip has the charge time changed in the X-Men zip. Mine seems to take just over a minute to charge. Also does anyone know if the Perfection 3.8 will work in this car without mods?

I should have mine tomorrow. I would assume that RS wouldn't go back to the older pcbs. The newer zips run the perfection 3.8 excellently. I have a question for you, is the controller slimmer at all?

Nice, so you can see the inards. What I was asking though is I've heard that the controller is thinner than the older ones. I don't see how or why they would make it thinner.

The size of the ne remote is the same as the old ones. I even has the raised textured buttons that the new controlers had. As for seeing th inards you can mainly see the antenna, batterys and the screwdriver though the back.

Cool, this all sounds great! So the controller is chrome, awesome. Mine is supposed to get here today, I can't wait! Is the turbo motor on par with the stock MS motor?

The Turbo motor that comes in it is not quite as fast as the stock MS but, the NOS motor in it seems faster than a stock MS. The Turbo spins a little on my kitchen floor where the NOS does the same thing on short carpet with stock gears and tires.

I got mine today and all I can say is
Well maybe I could say a few more things. I'm not possitive about this, seeing as my son only gave me a few minutes of peace, but I think we have another upgrade on the pcb. Like i said I'm not sure, but it seemed like the steering wasn't draining any juice from the motor. It wouldn't slow at all when turning unlike my other zips even the newer ones. More testing is needed
I also noticed that the body is molded in two seperate plastic pieces, sorta like diecast cars. Unfortunatly it looks like the main body isn't clear which sucks cause I was planning on stripping one and repainting it.
The controller makes it all worth it, SHINY

My first one no less!!
I just got home with my fist Zip Zap ever, the blue X-Men RX-8.
I put the NOS motor, and an 8.25:1 rear on it.
Nice handling! (I'm used to MS/clones)

I have a Zip Zaps fast and furious kit, and this body is different, in that it's two pieces...

Thanks for the pics strider_mt2k. That's what I said about the body, it's a change from all other zip bodies.
*Edit- The X-rims look better than the bit rims on this car.
