Don't get SCAMMED!!!

Below is a picture of a GENUINE Bit Char-G box.

Here's what to look for...
1. It has the Bit Hobby logo at the top left.
2. It says 'Bit Char-G CLEARLY on the box.
3. It says 'Tomica' directly above where it says 'Bit Char-G'
4. It has the Tomy name on the top right.

Anything else, NO MATTER how close in detail is NOT a Tomy Bit Char-G product!

Here's an example of a knock-off product. Notice how it's VERY similar to the official box, it even says Char-G on the box...

But on the top left is says TT, not the Bit hobby logo...And NOWHERE on the box will you see the words Tomica or Tomy.

What's also interesting about this picture is I just took it from an Ebay auction and the person has a description with the word 'Tomy' in it...In other words, he's trying to sell this product as the real deal!!! Sneaky bastard!

Read the article titled "Attack of the Clones" for a brief synopsis of the knock off that exist out there. You can find the article at questformadness.com

Most definitely! Knock-offs aren't all terrible, as far as quality goes. That QFM article has some nice details about what's decent and there's even some clones that you can interchange components with.

...It's all good as long as you KNOW you're buying a clone.

it's kinda like those infomercials with the flat-hose, and it's crappy knockoff the expand-a-hose, or whatever the hell it's called. ppl are really being suckered into buying those and end up being screwed over when their hose leaks.... I'm really bored

Fakes is a better term for these pieces of crap cause problems for buyers. But as long as people know they are FAKES then fine, but most people don`t and that when people so take action.

I bought one but I knew it. The auction was label as follows:

OEM TOMY Bit Char-G Nissan Skyline 3.0 BLUE

I told the seller that the title was kinda misleading and since has changed to TOMY Style Bit Char-G.

The car was of good quality and he shipped from Hong Kong in 12 day from the close of the auction, but the "3.0" motor was more of a 2.2 or 2.6.

I would still stay away from eBay now that I have found other sources of product....like here for example.

It's a Nissan Skyline loctite zexel GT-R. Cool car. Personally, I don't mind the clones, cause I just like to have one of everything that's out there...
