Drag Race Lights
Does anyone know how to make LED Drag Strip starting lights. They would need some sort of timer circut to let the lights go down in a sequence to the green GO lights.

Good idea
Great idea. If you made yourself a timing clock that started on green, and stopped when your car passes through an IR beam, now THAT would be a SICK track.

JTM, you would have to divide that by 4 cause it's a quarter mile. I also made a thred about, I got 16.5 ft i think. So JTM you were pretty close. I also got that comparing the Bit Nissan Skyline compared to a real life Accord, that these bits are, 1/84 scale.
Peace

in order to get the true scale youd have to do it by hieght or the headlights as they mess these bodies up to make them cartoony.. i did the same thing lol im trying to do it by width as i dont think they changed much of that to scale as the hieght or length... i did the math for the track i got 20.5 ft add another 3 or so feet for the run down @ the end and the stageing area.. would be sweet..

its only been 4 days.. heh give us some time but im tracking down those plans.. hopefully ill be able to rig up some kinda light timer.. unless one already exists.. im willing to bet one does exist for other areas of rc racing.. maybe 1/24th scale dragers have the tree timer setup...
