Radio Shack PT Cruiser
I've an old Radio Shack PT Cruiser, about 4-5 years old, that I've started to play with again. It's a large orange one, with awd with digital propo control. The problem I'm having, is the throttle is not centering right. At center, the car just takes off. I have to push the trigger all the way forward at first to get it to stop. After that, I have to jam it all the way forward to get it to go into reverse. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? The car is fast, powerful, and lots of fun, so I'd like to fix it, if possible.
I'm a bit of a clutz, and a newbie to r/c, but have no problem ripping things apart to see what makes them tick. It's just sometimes, it takes a few tries before it goes together correctly. Thanks for your help.

Some remotes have a throttle trim to control what is happening; especially for digital proportional cars. Play around with any knobs you have on the remote.
I once had an old RS truck that had that problem. The next time I turned it on, the whole thing was dead.

Thanks I tried that last night. The controller just said trim 1 and trim 2, so I'm not really sure, which controlled the throttle, and which was the steering (I lost the instructions), but they were really stiff, like something corroded inside. I didn't get a chance to rip it apart last night, but I'll work on it this weekend to see what I can find. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just an FYI, it was the throttle trim. I got the car working just fine now. I cleaned it up a bit, and it runs perfect. Lots of fun, jumping off of curbs and running it in the grass. It's strong enough where I can run it on the lawn. Thanks for the tip Jazz.
