Steering Magnet Coil Wires
I have read here a couple of times about people breaking and trying to repair the wire that go from the PCB to the steering magnet coil. I found several years ago a couple of spools of wire used for wire wrapping PCBs. It is used when you are making custom PCBs. The wire is very thin with a thin coating. You will have to go to a really good electronic supply store to find it (I don't think RS carries this). It will be delicate work but ir probably will be better then what is in your car now and you can make the wires longer so you can work on the battery compartment easier.
Here is a picture of the spools of wire that I am talking about ...
I am wondering if this could also be used to make the steering springs. I have not taking a steering assemble apart yet so I am not sure.
