The perfect antenna Mod...for anyone
First I took the cover off the car, removed the plastic safety cover, undid the knot in the antenna wire........that in itself put more range on the little thing. As for the controller, went to radio shack, bought the smallest telescope antenna they had....which was 32" I think. Opened the rc controller, unscrewed the screw holding the antenna in place, thus removing the antenna. Put the new one in.......now the new one is a bit longer extending just a little to much out of the bottom of the controller....easy fix for the hobbiest in me with an exacto knife or even a razor blade.....just cut enough of the plastic off around the antenna area to fit it perfect. All I see of the antenna if the 32" extended part from above and a bit of silver if you look at it from below. This took me less than 10 minutes to do, no soldering, and it cost me under $5. Now it has a 20 ft radius....which is more than enough to race on a decent size track without losing your signal. This little toy has become a great pass time.
