a 4 band controller is a slightly larger radio that has a selector so you can use 4 different frequencies: 27, 35, 45, 57. they also have a boost button so you can use booster bits with them.
I have one...they are much more comfortable and the buttons are not so rigid and cheap---
but the range is horrible, and there is no known cripple capacitor in them. If anyone can tell me if there is one, i would REALLY like to know, because i can't even use my 4 band anymore cuz the range is at best 2'. Not with the good.
