Crip caps on Bit Charg G? where r they?

I look at this site for mods: http://tinyrc.com/qfm/racing/mod_02.htm

but the board layout in my booster controller didnt look like this. There was no cap that looked like this. All i saw there was another little board that was perpendicular to the main board. I am currently getting maybe 8 feet of range, which to me sounds like it could be better. I havent looked on the car yet for a crip cap.

Has anyone removed the crip cap from a booster? IF so what does it look like?
