radio range
I lose control of the car at about 10-12ft away. I do have the antenna on the outside. Are others seeing about the same distance limitation?

thanks for the straw tip. I'll try that.
Regarding the blue motor. I got one too and it stinks. I've tried it with the purple gears and the green, it stinks both ways. The motor (orange) that came with the car is much better, and faster.

if ya dont use the turbo its really slow. mines really fast with the blue the little times i can also get it going up to speed. yeah i like the orange for its torque and decent top spped. maybe if its so slow you arent getting any traction or something. later

I get bad traction on our laminate floors. I took it to work and ran it on the hard carpet and it got good grip.
The thing about the turbo is by the time you hit it and get the car up to speed, you are out of range!
The superslick is my first micro rc. I have an RC10 B4 1/10th scale. Having both makes me want an RC10 superslick size. It would be hard to work on I suppose being so small, but with proportional steering and throttle and suspesion, one could have some fun with friends racing at home. I find the SS difficult to drive with precision given the all-or-nothing steering. Switching to drift helps with handling on slick surfaces.
I wish I had the talent to make conversions for the SS to turn it into a proportional, full suspension indoor racer.

aamjohns, have you looked at this forum in the Epoch Indoor Racer section. These cars are almost the same size as Superslicks, with fully proportional speed and steering. Epochs usually sell for quite a bit more than Superslicks unless you find a special deal on them. I have owned one for more than two years and the suspension and control makes a real difference. The biggest drawback to these cars is the virtual lack of motor and parts upgrade support compared to Superslicks.
