It's loud, annoying, and just plain annoying. I heard you should adjust the alignment on the controller and then the car itself to reduce the "jitter effect". Yes, I just coined the phrase "jitter effect." Woot woot! When I get my digital camera working I'll show you some pictures of my Zip Zap. It's awesome. I'll post them at my site. Leave me an e-mail if you want the address. Peace out.

To get out of getting funny looks, I gave them the old "This thing looks exactly matches my real truck excuse"

I'm almost 34 and have a pretty extensive collection of ZZ's. They remind me of the slot cars I used to run as a kid. I still have those someplace. So when I came across something that was close to the size of a slot car, but it was RC....I had to get it.

Sdog, I am 36 and got one these cars last week because they remind me of my old AFX slot cars. I love the fact that you can change motors, tires and bodies just like the old slot cars. The best thing is that you are not confined to a track. Oh yeah, I brought mine to work and now everyone wants one!!

Exactly.....everyone that looks at mine wants one. I love these things. I'm partial to the SE's myself. I'll tell you what, if you haven't picked up a 3rd gen. SE yet....do it. They have really improved them....even over the muscle cars.
gtr....you have to tell me where you get those wheels!

Which are the 3rd gen? I have the Mustang concept car but it was on clearance so it is probably the old one. I just ordered the 70 GTO Judge. Hopefully that is a newer one. I think it is. I want to get a monster truck next! Those wheels on the car above look chrome?

the 3rd gen. SE's are the vipers, GT40, and the 04 mustang. the wheels on my red chevelle are MM's military rims made to fit ZZ's. the tires are from a kidriffic rc sanded down for realistic look and traction. i have about 5 different sets of custom rims i use. the rims are easy, it's the tires that are hard. i'm trying to figure out how to make my own tires with some kind of mold. you can make just about any rims work if you have the right tools. but, it's almost impossible to find good rubber tires.

RNF...The Mustang Concept is first gen. The muscle cars (GTO, Chevelle) are second gen. The second generation cars fixed many of the flaws on the first gen cars...mostly steering issues. The second gen cars are good cars and I really like the muscle car bodies. The third gen cars are the Vipers, Ford GT, and the 04 Mustang Mach 1. My 3rd gen car shows great improvement in speed and an improvement in turning radius over the second gen cars. I am a bit dissapointed in the look of the bodies for the 3rd gen. cars, namely the Ford GT and Viper. But, RS did a pretty good job with the 04 Mustang Mach 1 body. It is proportioned much better than the other bodies.
GTR...in my opinion, wheels make up half the look of the car. Yours look really good. I wish RS would come out with some wheel kits that were rims instead of hub cap style. Beefy tires with raised white lettering would improve the look of the SE muscle cars a whole lot.

sdog, thnx for the props. the muscle cars are my favourite. i have been wishing the same thing about the rims and tires since they came out with the 67 camaro. the closest thing to that that i've seen, is the F-1 clones. i just can't see buying 2 cars just for the back wheels. i don't really like 20" rims on muscle cars. in their day, it was more about the rubber burning than the bling.

all you guys(or at least most...) feel very embaresed about going to get a zz, but i am 13, going to be 14 on the 10 of feb, so i dont feel that awkard, hahahaha. just kidding, i do feel slightly awkard, but the rs buy likes what i have done with my bodies, how i paint them and stuff. hehe

Why should we be embarrassed?! Its good ole clean fun.
Sdog, thanks for the info.
My first gen mustang is pretty slow. I have a Hot Wheels RC and that things hauls ass. It doesn’t have the proportional steering or variable speeds or lights but it is fun. I still like the ZZs better. I can’t wait to see how my GTO performs. I guess I will have to buy a Viper too! Aren’t all the bodies interchangeable between SE generations? I would put my GTO body on the Viper. I wonder if RS will make more theme bodies. Dukes of Hazard and Knight Rider would be cool. A cop car would be cool too with the lights on top.
I told a friend of mine at work about these and he came in today and said he spent $50 at RS. Too funny. These things are addicting.
