I think someone tried something like this once, maybe for an X-Mod. It would be extremely hard to work. First of all, even the tiny .010 TeeDee engine is over 1/3 the size of the car. Second, you can't turn the engine off, you just run until the fuel runs out (these are usually made for free-flight and control line aircraft). Third, The engine is optionally proportional, but you need a servo to actuate the throttle. And last, good luck finding micro size gears capable of withstanding the torque of these engines. In 1/24th scale, this would be a much easier (but still complicated) project to do.
