An Awesome Idea. Or AAI

I have always thought bridgelayers were the coolest military vehicles. Some people liked heavy guns and cannons. But I always like those bridgelayers. Well I have an idea. Make a table top bridge layer in HO scale. It would be able to drive around and bridge a gap for your TTTT's. There are many different kinds. If someone made one, I would think they are the coolest person in the world. And since I'm near broke right now, any takers on this?

Actually they sound cool, can you post some pictures of real bridge layers?

Hi,
difficult, but not impossible.
Just take a "cheap" tank kit with rubber chains.

A IR remote system or a small rc reciver (a tank scaled 1:87 is large enough).
2 speedcontroler for the chaindrive
1 speedcontroler for the "dradger" in front
1 speedcontroler for the bridge

the bridge may work by using a gear and a rope.

I am looking forward to see your first pictures!!!

best regards

Thorsten

p.s. working guns will also possible by using gunpowder in a pipe (injection needle) and a brasswire as the bullet. A resistorwire is fine to initialise the shoot ;-)

This could prove tougher than I thought. Because I have to unfold the bridge, set it down, let go of it and drive away, then the bridge layer and other vehicles would go across it. The bridge layer then would go and pick up the bridge by the other side and fold it up.

*edit* Just got an idea. Will upload soon!
