Best mods to improve handling
hey guys im sorta new to xmods but im learning quick thanks to these types of forums and stuff
Anyway, i have a skyline xmod with a SB s2 hybrid w/ upgraded 100uf capacitor. With this i am able to keep up with my other mini rc (overland/mini-z) however the handling and turning radius are where you can really see the difference between my cars. I am aware and was aware that the turning radius is an issue with the xmods but every so often i hear people with ways to tweak it. I was wondering what are the best upgrade parts to help this issue as well as home made mods that could help. I am also considering doing a 5 cell upgrade however as i hear this would hinder the steering even more due the increase of power/speed.

There is a mod where you replace a couple of resitors which will decrease the turning radius. I don't have a link though.

4.5 tie rod and awd its back in stores now and 5 cell wont hurt handling if you put these on it will be better still

some really cheap homemade mods could be tefloning the tie rod and supergluing the tires. i dont think they would improve turning radius but they improve handling. the suspension on these xmods is too loose. it suXKKksss

I have found a significant improvement in turning radius by taking the diff apart, using some type of diff lube on it and getting it to spin more freely.
As the diff spins more freely it is easier for the inside tire to stop spinning while the outside tire spins making the car corner sharper.
Learned racing the bigger scales that a smooth diff made all the difference.

All that does is increase toe-in, which makes turning more responsive.

stock(yellow) Neutral 0 degree toe in
1.5 toe in
3 toe in
4.5 toe in
i think the stock rod would give you the smallest turning radius since toe in causes the car to go in a straight line.

from all the sources ive read, they all state the opposite. toe-in would give you stability and would resist turning. i dont know where you get your info?
